In conjunction with the upcoming BCN:MCR event we got in contact with four very talented (and very friendly) Barcelona studios who will be exhibiting at the event. Toormix, Twopoints, Atipus and Brosmind all boast a range of exciting, contemporary work.
As well as supplying some amazing imagery a few of the featured studios have also given some really inspiring advice for design students about to enter the industry.
Twopoints have some great advice about never giving up—
"A teacher of us once told us that life is a marathon, not a sprint. He said this when we just founded our studio and started our phd. Sometimes, when you get impatient and frustrated, because somthing goes slowlier than expected, you have to make sure to remember how much you achieved already and that a slow progress means slow progress and not no progress. Life is a marathon, not a sprint."
Atipus have a really useful note to remember when designing—
"There's one thing that we have learned over the years and that is to be empathetic with clients and care about their issues. Sometimes as designers we want all our work super designed and -lets face it- not all products need it. We are not talking about design quality here, all we mean is that often there are projects were design is not everything but a small part of it. We are not masters of the universe!"
You can check out some more work from these guys on their websites and if you can, why not go see them in person at the BCN:MCR event in March!
