Yesterday the students in Manchester took a break from the computer to work on a brief entirely handmade.
The project encourages the students to experiment with different techniques in craft, treating the computer as just a tool to bring the final components together to create and commercially viable piece of graphic design in the form of an album or book cover, gig poster, press ad and even a beer bottle label.
The work saw various techniques explored from paper craft, to sculpture and collage.
Here are a few pictures from the day documenting the process and fun times being had.
*After two years of teaching here i can finally hang up my hat satisfied that i finally made it into a students project for grizzly beer.
