If you're wondering what's with the wonderfully crazy window displays in Louis Vuitton at the moment (if you've seen the polkadot tentacles you'll know what I mean) it turns out they're the work of Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama.
I was lucky enough to attend her exhibition at the MCA in Sydney back in 2009 and it was probably one of the most fun and interactive exhibitions I've ever been to.
If you're in New York there's an exhibition of her works at the Whitney Museum. This is a collaboration with the Tate Modern, London and Louis Vuitton. There's another exhibition of Yayoi's running alongside entitled 'Fireflies on the Water'. If it's as good as 'Mirrored Years' then it's definitely worth getting along to.
