Michael Lugmayr and Eva Dijkstra at Toko, former dutch studio now sydney based design duo, never do dull and they never do mediocre. If you take the time to look through their site you well be sickened by the quality of their work. It is both simple and complex, confident and understated and so bloody euro! I love their recent identity for the Tasmania Ten days on the Island festival with strong vivid imagery coupled with geometric patterns and forms and simple yet slick type styling. They have an extensive portfolio with identity projects both small and large, from virgin mobile companies to their local hairdresser, designing the highly acclaimed dutch street style magazine CODE, and have done some of the most beautiful infographics you'll ever set eyes on for an annual report, aswell as their own arts projects.
What is even more depressing is that they too are beautiful people to talk to and look at. What a cruel world. I hate them and love them.
