In the coming month AGDA is celebrating The Poster and calling for submissions to the 2011 AGDA Poster Annuall. Designer Mark Gowing, arguably Australia's most awarded poster designer will curate this premier poster exhibition. Invited international judges will provide a transparent, balanced and energetic assessment of each of the fifty submissions selected for exhibition.
"I think the Poster Annual has a lot of international potential and I would love to it become a regular feature on the world poster calendar," declares Mark. "This year we've introduced a critical prize to add prestige and international merit to the event. The prize will be judged by the likes of Ken Cato, Chen Zhengda, Fanette Mellier, Stephan Bundi as well as Kjell Ekhorn and Jon Forss from Non-Format. Every entrant will also receive a free copy of the hard cover catalogue that will celebrate the work of the finalist designers as well as the jury members."
Celebrate the art of the poster and its power to motivate and inspire. Be "inspired by music" and create ideological posters as a response to your cultural outlook.
