I love the work of Jason Munn (a.k.a The Small Stakes) for his clean, almost minimalist designs, which are always striking in their composition. He specialises in creating posters for gigs and, more recently, film screenings. I find it really inspiring the way he pares a band's identity down to a couple of simple visual elements and then plays them against each other in really interesting, clever and sometimes amusing ways. The colour palettes are always simple, the layout uncluttered and the images unshowy, yet this subtlety allows his confidently executed ideas to speak louder. I always know when I'm looking at one of his designs.
