Shepard Fairey's aesthetic originated from his interest and participation in street and sticker art whilst growing up. Breaking into the mainstream with his world wide sticker phenomenon - Andre the Giant Has a Posse, which later became Obey Giant, Fairey shot to fame. I love Shepard's work because of the street art stencil feel to it as well as the fact that his work is highly meaningful and symbolic -from Anti-war/Bush to Arab Spring. Shepard Fairey is a fantastic artist and certainly one of my favourites.
