Manual "San Francisco Design Week" Re-Brand

I think the re-brand of San Francisco Design Week is beautiful and adaptable, as well as being simple and clever. I love that the type in block allows the typeface to be translated into a different colour easily, while keeping the effectiveness of the logo. I love the idea of the letters peeking over each other - emulating the houses in the San Francisco hills. I think it's a personal touch that really develops what could have been a block letter bold typeface to something intelligent and personal, without being sentimental.
Manual's entire portfolio is incredible. They have a clean, clear and modern element to all of their work, which mostly uses simple graphics or typography to communicate a message. I've included images for another project they did - Loveland Aleworks, a re-brand idea for a beer company. I think it's a beautiful mix of clean design and nostalgia.
