Role Details
Work on design projects from concept to print. Good creative and layout/typographical skills and an understanding of other design mediums. An interest in design and its trends. Support senior designers and other team members. You must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team or individually. You must be reliable and take pride in your work, be self motivated, good with deadlines and problem solving.

Role Details
The Junior Digital Designer will join a growing young and dynamic team to work in close partnership with our marketing and product managers to: • Managing the visual aspect of all the content we produce • Produce cohesive designs for a range of media including software interfaces, mobile apps web graphics, print media and articles • Create graphic lead content such as infographics and widgets • Create mood boards, colour schemes and wireframes for software, mobile apps and online digital content • Utilise visual guidelines to push the boundaries of creativity while staying true to the brand • Conceive UI/UX design ideas quickly and for different media solutions • Participate in workshops with clients to collaborate on creating the UI/UX design experience. Working on cutting edge, exciting projects you will be required to communicate across the business, the successful candidates can expect: • Lots of interesting and varied work with leading brands (recent work includes Panasonic, BMW, Lloyds Bank, Samsung and various consumer brands owned by brand owners such as Unilever). • A positive and friendly environment with a young and enthusiastic team. • £500 training budget per annum (including a book allowance) to support your development. • Social nights once a month. • Charity days. • Free Eye Tests. With bucket loads of potential you should be a highly creative bright spark that can grow and be nurtured. We must be able to see your potential: Your portfolio will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of the principles of modern UI/UX techniques, patterns and tools. Most importantly, it will give glimpses of your future brilliance. To be considered for the role of the JDD your CV/portfolio will need to highlight the following: • At least 1 years’ experience in a graphic design role delivering UI/UX design work or alternatively a 2.1/1st class degree in Graphic Design or a related design subject • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite • Experience with layout design and typography; • Creating the UI/UXDesign experience (user journeys, flows, rapid prototyping etc.) • Outlining the UI flow (UX experience) for new features and ensuring the overall system flow is as efficient as possible • Information architecture, product mapping, storytelling and user flow of complex user journeys • Creating wireframes, mock-ups and final designs of UI • The ability to create engaging infographics a big plus • Basic CRO and A/B testing experience a big plus • Proven experience to schedule and manage your own time across projects • Strong attention to detail • Interest of new developments and innovation within graphic design • Experience creating cross-browser compatible solutions (IE9, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) is plus.

We are an independent, dynamic and client driven creative consultancy with over 25 years of international branding and design experience. We work in a converted barn studio situated in Winchcombe, in the Cotswolds, 20 minutes from Cheltenham. Strategic, effective, inspirational design and communication is at the heart of everything we do. Over the years we’ve rebranded iconic companies, worked with our fair share of large and some not-so-large (but no less important) clients in automotive, property and retail and we’re the leading branding consultants in the Independent Schools sector. Currently we are a team of three full-time creatives, with various contractors working with us on an ad hoc basis. Paul Kilvington established his own design business in the late eighties having worked with major London consultancies. Commissions have included the communication material for the launch of Range Rover in North America, the rebranding and relaunch of Triumph Motorcycles and the creation of many corporate identities, with the winning of many awards along the way. Paul has spent the past fifteen years working extensively in independent education, creating many hugely successful and innovative brands, prospectuses, films and websites and is now an acknowledged expert in the sector. Christian has been a designer for 14 years and has worked with a broad range of industries and clients, some of which include Gordon Ramsay, M&S and Gieves & Hawkes. Christian was also head lecturer at Shillington College in London, therefore knows a thing or two about your course! Emma Kilvington has been working at The Branding Experts since graduating from the University of the West of England, in 2012. Emma has grown up surrounded by design and has been creative from a young age. She studied Fashion, Fine Art and English at The Cheltenham Ladies' College then went on to complete an Art and Design Foundation course, before attending University. We are offering a desk space in our studio with a use of a brand new 27-inch Mac as well as the use of all our facilities. We would ideally be looking for a likeminded creative, with a few clients, who is looking to develop as a designer and who has an ability to take on extra work. In return for the offer we would ask for 1/2 day - 1 day per week of your time to help with ongoing projects. As an ever-expanding company we would be looking to this person to then work along side us on future projects as a contracted freelancer with a view to building a long-term relationship.
