I love the work of Adrian Johnson because of how he uses vivid colours and simple shapes to communicate an effective message. He lived in London for 15 years, but now he lives in East Sussex. He develops a lot of personal projects, but also worked for clients like Amex, Adidas, Monocle, The New York Times, Wired and Unicef....

Now, I always knew that Barcelona is a pretty amazing city (anyone who is into art, design, music and life in general should go at least once in their lives) but I never knew how cool this section of the city was by the air! This district is called 'Eixample' and literally means 'extension' in Catalan. By all accounts it's considered to be one of the first examples of mod...

Kiss Miklos (what an awesome name) is a Hungarian designer specialising in branding. His work caught my eye a little while ago and I've been following his new work via Behance. I've included a selection of his typographic logos/identities. You can see how effective they are even in plain and simple black and white. Check out the rest of his work. You won't be disappointed....

A wonderful friend of mine just pointed me in the direction of Design Seeds and her timing couldn't be more perfect for Australian FT students as they're just starting colour theory. This is a beautiful site that separates images into simple colour palettes. You can even pick a colour value and find complimentary ...

I believe that any design work that can make me smile or laugh is a success, unless of course you are laughing at how poor the design is. These all made me smile. I like the way the right colours are used for the animals but have the same level of intensity, i think this ties the letters together strongly. A really cool, simple idea executed well. ...
