You're not meant to judge a book by its cover, but of course, as designers, we totally do! Luckily, the covers Isabel Urbina Peña designs always make me pick up the book. I also love what she's done with the styling and presentation on her website ... Beautiful work Isabel!  EDIT: ...

I love the work of Luke Lucas. This talented Melbourne typographer brings type to life! Luke's handmade type makes you want to interact with the words and reach out and touch the letters and get involved in its story. Luke is not only a type guy but is also a freelance creative, art director, illustrator and designer. Yep, it's all pretty cool!...

I love the work of Zachary Smith. His talent for hand drawn typography is amazing, and the way he combines it with images of nature is beautiful and inspiring. Zach is based in Southern California and he specialises in hand lettering and illustrations. He works for Sevenly (a company that helps raise money for existing charities) and also does commissioned pieces....

I love hand lettering, sign writing, pinstriping and type design from past times. Folks that paint cars and hot rods mostly seem self-taught and their styles are a little wild and out of the box, but the free-hand skill is incredible. I found this video of Glen Weisberger, who taught himself this craft in the '70s, following on from the likes of Von Dutch and Ed Roth, who kick-started custom car a...

I love the work of Socio Design. It is so elegant and restrained. You can tell a lot of work has gone into making the design seem simple. I like their use of typography, alignment and contrast as well as the mediums on which they choose to print - very tactile. They work out of their studio in London and specialise in brand identities and digital experiences for a varied list of clients....
