Don't even get me started on how much I'm crushing on this Finnish lass, originally from Helsinki but now freelancing in New York City. With incredible studio experience behind her (um, RoAndCo and Pentagram, anyone?) this girl knows what's what. Everything she does has such a strong personal aesthetic and flair. Her illustrations are quirky and texture-heavy, but it's really her affinity with mat...

Loving this identity for Chin Chin, a no-frills Asian restaurant in Melbourne. That colour, the typography, the awesome pop-art graphics. Looks like a fun place to be. By Projects of Imagination.  ...

Recent London part-time graduate Caden Salon quite fittingly received the peer-nominated prize for best portfolio at the recent London graduate show. Her take on the printed portfolio was really quite unique — presenting her work in a really beautiful bound book format, with a great mix of flat artwork and photographed p...

I love the work of Ukrainian graphic designer/illustrator Irene Shkarovska. She has an eclectic style which she adapts to a diverse range of branding/logos, illustration, and graphic design. Across her portfolio is a strong focus on hand-generated typography and illustration, which gives her work a unique and sometimes dreamy quality. I especially love the monochrome palette and hand-generated li...

I really love the use of alignment on the double page spread image, it really makes the text clearer and the colours pop! The simple use of a landscape in negative makes a really cool effect, I love these guys....

I'm crushing on Vancouver-based studio Glasford & Walker big time. Started in 2007 by an Australian designer and a Canadian producer, their aesthetic is really clean, their typography is always lovely, and the colours are winners. This project in particular really stood out to me. Maybe it's because The Silver Star s...

Chronicles of Never (CoN) is a clothing and jewellery company based in Sydney, Australia. Under the direction of creator Gareth Moody, a former co-founder of Tsubi (Ksubi), the graphics are predominantly bold, simple and very effective. The given examples are fine art pieces that have been used on t-shirts. CoN usually sticks to bold graphics on a neutral colour palette. I particularly like the NO...
